On the early morning of September 19, 2017, a big van caught fire, near orbital station, Weidian Garden, Shapingba District. Due to excessive strain, alarm people said the wrong address to the police. Firefighters arrived at the site ten minutes later, increasing the loss.

At 6.45am yesterday morning, The Shapingba district Xiyong squadron received a report that a van was on fire near the Laijiaqiao light rail station in the Shapingba district. Firefighters rushed to the scene.  On the way, the firefighters found out that the true site of the fire was Weidianyuan light rail station.

When the firefighters arrived at the scene of the accident, they found that the rear wheels of the van had been burning violently and the fire was slowly approaching the fuel tank. Firefighters immediately used water cannons to control the fire, then sprayed them with foam water cannon and quickly put out the fire.

According to the driver, he dialed the 119 alarm hotline after the fire. He said the wrong address because he was not familiar with incident site. The firefighters arrived at the scene about 10 minutes late, causing the fire to spread from the car to the engine, which increased big loss.

When you find the fire, you must first use the fire extinguishing equipment nearby to save yourself, and send a person to call the fire brigade command center using the nearest telephone. Any phone is free to call “119”.

Remember the following points when you call the police:

1.Stabilize your emotions and avoid impatience;

2.Please speak Putonghua to avoid mistakes in dialect differences;

3.Please offer correct fire place according to the request of the "119" command center. The content includes:

1.Which road is the fire site? Near which road intersection?

2.What unit is the fire site? What is the door number?

3.What's burning? How about the fire conditions?

4.What is the telephone number of alarm people? What is the name of alarm people?

5.Pick up fire fighting truck at designated intersections;

Notices: Due to the limited fire lines of "119", do not dial "119" for no reason. If “119” can not be called in when the fire happens, it will cause unnecessary loss and trouble.
